1 Talay Waek

Location : Ao Nang Talay Waek Talay Waek is one of Thailand's unseen highlights, is situated along Koh Dam Khwan. The sea is gradually separated by white sand and limestone beach that will appear to amazingly connect the two islands at low tide. The best time to visit Thale Waek is five days before and after the full moon from December to the beginning of May.

How to get there
From Krabi, drive along Highway 4034, then 46. turn left and continue on Highway No.4202 heading to Ao Nang. Long-tail boats and speed boats run daily from Ao Nang Bay to the sand dune.

2 Emerald Pool (Sa Morakot)

Location : Klong Thom District Emerald Pool Emerald Pool is also called Sa Morakot and was listed in Unseen Thailand which attracting all tourist to visit. Emerald Pool situated at Klongtom district, Krabi Province, Southern part of Thailand. Walking along the nature track beside the stream about 800 m. from parking area, you will reach the amazing nature pool. The clear blue-green pool challenge all visitor to get into the pool and this became the name of this place “ Emerald Pool “ . With the bacteria, mineral and lime stone solution mixed in the stream that run to the pool makes beautiful natural color. Beside the pool there is the Royal Pavilion which Princess Sirinthorn ever visited here. We can up walk to the upper pool which you can see darker color of the water. How to get there
The Emerald Pool is situated in Khao Pra - Bang Khram Wildlife Sanctuary, 18 kms along the public road No. 4038 from the district office of Klong Thom. The gravel entrance road is 800-meters from the main entrance to the pool.

3 Khao Khanap Nam

Location : Krabi Town Khao Khanap Nam Regarded as the symbol of Krabi, Khao Khanap Nam are two mountains that are roughly 100 meters tall, separated by Maenam Krabi and located at the entrance to Krabi Town. Khao Khanap Nam has beautiful caves with amazing stalactites and stalagmites worth exploring. In addition to natural attractions, a large number of human skeletons have been found here. It is theorized that they are the remains of people who came and established a home at Kanab Nam, but were cut off by an inundation and quickly perished. The mountains can be reached by taking a 15-minute long tail boat ride from Chao Fa Pier. For visitors interested in a more extensive excursion, it is possible to tent a boat can be rented at 300 baht per trip to visit Khao Khanap Nam, mangrove forests and Ko Klang fishing village.

4 Kayak at Ao Thalane

Location : Ao Thalane Kayaking at Ao Thalane Ao Thalane is a small fishing village, located in the heart of a well established natural network of intricate mangrove channels surrounded by towering limestone canyon formations complete with lovely sandbanks where navigation is possible only during low tides.

The highlight of the Ao Talen is kayaking through to the waters way and get in to the secret lagoon and canyon. During the tour on the mangrove forest you will see plenty of wildlife includes birds’ reptiles and mammals such as Sea Eagles, Brow winged kingfisher, Sea monkey, fiddler crabs in the muddy shallow waters.

5 Wat Khlong Thom Museum

Location : Khlong Thom District Wat Klong Thom Museum The Museum exhibits various artifacts discovered during excavations of an area called "Khuan Luk Pat" or a bead mound behind Wat Khlong Thom. Unearthed artifacts include stone tools, bronze implements, metal coins, pottery shards, ceramic and stone decorative art and colored beads that are over 5,000 years old. This Museum is situated within the compound of Wat Khlong Thom between Kilometer marker 69-70 on Phetchakasem Highway, one kilometer from the District office.

How to get there
From Krabi, take Highway No. 4 to Khlong Thom District. The Wat Khlong Thom Museum is about 1 kilometer from the District.

5 Wat Tham Sua (Tiger Cave Temple)

Location : Krabi Town Wat Tham Sua Wat Tham Sua also known as Tiger Cave temple, is located about 3 kilometres from Krabi Town. Inside the cave there are what appear to be tiger paw prints in the stone.

The surrounding area is covered with large trees hundreds of years old, particularly in the Khiriwong Valley. Mountains are on all sides and there are smallers caves in great number. Wat Tham Sua teaches a form of Buddhism called Vipassana (insight meditation), which is based on the teachings of the earliest Buddhist texts. In the main temple cave you will find bizarre photos of internal organs and split cadavers, which are supposed to reinforce the temporary nature of the body and help the monks to focus on more spiritual matters.

The main tourist attraction in the temple complex is the 1,272 step climb up a limestone tower to see the "footprint of the Buddha". Even if you are in good shape, the heat and humidity make this a difficult hike. Once you make it to the top, you are rewarded with stunning 360° views of the surrounding countryside and the Andaman Sea.

How to get there
Tiger cave temple is located about three kilometres from Krabi town and easiest reached by mini-bus, taxi or tuk-tuk (arrange a fare with the tuk-tuk driver in advance). Alternatively you can take a traditional Thai public bus also known as a songthaew from either Krabi town or from Ao Nang. The public bus makes for a really cheap and interesting option where you’ll see plenty of Thai sights and sounds along the way in addition to meeting some locals. The bus stops at the road next to Wat Tham Sua and from there it takes about 20 minutes on foot.

6 Fossil Shell Beach (Susan Hoi)

Location : Ban Laem Pho Cape Susan Hoi Susan Hoi in Krabi is a natural wonder, there is a tourist information center to educate visitors about the history of the fossil shell site. After that, take a path provided to a scenic point of Susan Hoi.

The age of the fossils at Susan Hoi is placed as about 40 million years ago. At that time, Susan Hoi was a large freshwater swamp. Eventually, it became landmass. Over time, successive layers of shell created rock slabs known as "Shelly limestone" of over 40cm. These rest on 10 centimetres of lignite, below which was subsoil.

Due to geographic upheaval, this shelly limestone at Susan Hoi is now distributed in great broken sheets on the seashore at Laem Pho. They look like broken chunks of cement flooring from afar.

How to get there
Susan Hoi is in Krabi town, Ban Lam Pho Sub-district, Sai Tai district. It is easy to get there. Catch the Hua Thong boat from downtown to Rai Lay bay from where Susan Hoi can be found. Alternatively, from the municipal market, drive along Krabi Road and turn left to highway number 4034 all the way to Ban Sai Tai. Then turn left again to highway number 4204 for nineteen kilometers. From Nang bay, go straight on highway number 4203 for another ten kilometers.

7 Pa Phru Tha Pom Khlong Song Nam

Location : Krabi Town Pa Phru Tha Pom Khlong Song Nam It is located at Ban Nong Chik, Mu 2, Khao Khram Sub-district, a distance of 34 kilometres from the provincial town of Krabi. Pa Phru or peat swamp forest of the canal of Tha Pom features a number of water sources, which originate from the Chong Phra Kaeo pool. Tha Pom is called Khlong Song Nam by the locals, which in Thai literally means "two water canal", because of its special feature location where crystal clear freshwater, which the pool’s floor and the roots of Lumphi palm (Eleiodoxa conferta) are virtually visible, meets seawater from the mangrove forest. Tha Pom features a natural trail made of lath. Wooden chairs are located at certain points for nature lovers to conveniently admire the view of the place.

How to get there
To get there, proceed along Highway No. 4 (Krabi - Ao Luek route) onto Km. 126 and take a left turn for another 5 km.

7 Phranang Cave

Location : Railay Bay Phranang Cave Beach Phra Nang Beach is surrounded by stunning limestone cliffs and is located on the southern most tip of the Railay Peninsula, just south of West Railay. Out of the four beaches within this peninsula this beach would have to rate as the best with calm clean waters. The limestone cliffs that tower above the beachfront, provide shade from the hot sun.

From the beach there are beautiful views across to the very popular Poda, Chicken and Tub Islands that lie in the distance. At the southern end of the beach is a tall limestone cliff that contains the famous Princess Cave also known as Tham Phra Nang Nok or outer cave that is said to be the home of a mythical sea princess. For those who are up for a hike, inside the cliff is a hidden lagoon called Sa Phra Nang or Holy Princess Pool which can be reached by following a trail into the side of the mountain. The climb is a bit challenging, but that's what makes it so much fun.

Phra Nang is also known and shown on some maps as Princess Cave Beach or Phranang Cave Beach; all these different names can be somewhat confusing!!! Many people visit Phra Nang as part of a day trip from one of the other beaches as it is the first stop on the Krabi 4 island tour. While other visitors just come to spend the day lazing on the beach or to explore and admire the stunning scenery in this beautiful part of of Krabi Province.

Other adventurous activities at Phra Nang include rock climbing, hiking snorkeling and sea kayaking.

How to get there
Take a long-tail boat from Ao Nang Beach to Railay Beach. The ride takes about 15 minutes and costs 100 baht per person each way.

8Than Bok Khorani Waterfall

Location : Ao Luk District Than Bok Khorani Waterfall The water in Than Bok Khorani is green due to the deposit of diluted calcide from the surrounding mountains. The inner pond,120 square metres in size, is quite deep. The source of Morakot Pond is between Khao Wong and Ao Mai Dam. It is a watershed that branches off into streams, some of which come together to form Morakot Pond.

You can make a roud trip of travel in one day by just do a recreation activities, such as swimming in the Than Bok Khorani waterfall, nature sigthseeing in the nearby area, traveling by boat and visit history place and caves.

How to get there
Take road number 4 to Ao Luek crossroads, then turn onto road number 4039. From here, it is about 2 kilometres to the National Park Headquarters. Distance from Than Bok Khorani National Park to Krabi, approximately 48 kilometres.

9 Ban Na Teen

Location : Ao Nang Ban Na Teen Ban Na Teen is situated in Ao Nang Sub-district, Muang District of Krabi Province. It was formerly the cultivation area for residents of Ban Khlong Haeng to the North. They walked to the area everyday to plant rice. When a community was set up about 80 years ago, It was named Ban Na Teen, meaning the rice – field to the south (the feet).

At present, residents of Ban Na Teen have created more local products such as Batik cloth, craft paper from pineapple fiber and model fishing boat, all rated as five – star OTOP, the best Thai craft products.

In addition to local products you will see then you have the opportunity to go fishing, harvest latex from rubber trees, make souvenirs from coconut husks, and observe the traditional Muslim village's way of life.

How to get there
From Krabi to Baan Nateen take the Highway no. 4202 distance of approximately 14 km before Noppharattara approximately 1.5 km and turn right onto Klong Muang approximately 1 km to the center on the right. From Ao Nang Beach take Highway 4203 to Noppharattara Beach and turn right to Highway no. 4202 and turn left onto Klong Muang

10 Hot Spring Waterfall

Location : Khlong Thom District Hot Springs Waterfall The Hot Spring Waterfall is located approximately 8 kilometres from the Emerald Pool, is in a shady forest area with numerous hot springs. A natural hot stream flows through the jungle and then down several small waterfalls with some really cool rock formations that creates at least five “jacuzzis” before dropping into a colder little lake. The hot spring and cool streams converge on a slope to form lovely cascades of warm water with a temperature of 40-50 degrees Celsius.

How to get there
To reach the waterfall visitors should travel 45 kilometers from town to Khlong Thom District, then take Sukhaphiban 2 Road for another 12 kilometers.

11Khao Phueng Cave

Location : Krabi Town Krabi Kart Speedway Khao Phung cave is a small mountain that is filled with caves along the ground level.

Khao Phung Cave is located some 3 kms from the park's office. Another 5 caves are in the area nearby. The cave's beauty is enhanced by countless stalagmites and stalactites of various shapes. Some are like mushrooms, others like pagodas and curtains. The walls are white and glitter brightly.

How to get there
From Talat-Kao junction, Krabi province takes a bus through Si Trang Road, turn left at 1km,follow the way of Talat Kao - Ban Huaito about 20km will find the headquarters.

11 Krabi Kart Speedway

12 Krabi Walking Street

Location : Krabi Town Krabi Walking Street Krabi Walking Street located on Maharat Soi 8, near Vogue Depatment Store in Krabi Town. Krabi Walking Street is the most popular and pleasant place for tourists to meet locals and a new attraction for food lovers.

The menus are in English but the food is authentic and excellent. Stalls here sell papaya salad, fried noodles, Tum Yum Gung (prawn and lemon grass soup with mushrooms), fresh seafood and all manner of things on satay sticks, plus sweet milky Thai desserts. There's a similar market just north on Th Sukhon that's open day and night and caters to a more local crowd.

How to get there
From Manutboraan intersection on Maharat Road heading to Krabi Town, passing left along Vouge Department Store, here comes "Walking Street". On the first Soi (Maharat Soi 8) to the end of Soi, you'll find several souvenir shops along the road with activities area, dining tables and onstage shows.

13 Heaven 7 Krabi

Heaven 7 is a 5-minute drive away from Ao Nam Mao pier. From the municipal market, drive along Krabi Road and turn left to highway number 4034 on the way to Ban Sai Tai. Then turn left again to highway number 4204 for 19 kilometers. From Ao Nang, go straight on highway number 4203 for another 8 kilometers.
